Yi-Chung shopping districtYi-Chung shopping district including Yucai Street, extending to the Chungyo department store. Taichung First High School, Taichung Institute of Technology and National Taiwan University of Physical Education and Sports, Water Conservancy Building and several cram schools are also near this area, forming the street scene of the coexistence of shopping and tuition.Teenagers are considered as the main consumer groups of the district. This large and colorful Confucius Temple was built to imitate a Song dynasty square-shaped palace. Every year on 28 September, the birthday of Confucius, the main door (Lingxing Door) is opened, and a dawn ceremony is held to commemorate the sage. The Museum is also a major science learning center with over a half million school children visiting annually.
