Pier 2 Art Center is inside the Port of Kaohsiung at the end of Dayong Road. "Pier 2" was originally a connection terminal and the exhibition spaces were originally the warehouse of the commercial port. Kaohsiung City Bureau of Cultural Affairs took over the warehouses in 2006 and launched a series of highly characteristic exhibitions, such as the Taiwan idol Culture Exhibition, Kaohsiung International Steel and Iron Sculpture Festival and Livingware Craft Series. Now, the Pier 2 Art Center is expanded into the Pier 2 warehouses, C5 TSC warehouses, Moonlight Theater and the Art Square to accommodate different exhibitions and performances.
