As one of the eight most beautiful scenes in Taiwan, Qingshui Cliff, located between Chongde Tribe and Heren on Provincial Highway 9, presents the steep cliff and magnificent Pacific Ocean.

Located at the west entrance of Changchun Tunnel, Central Cross-Island Highway, Eternal Spring Shrine is a temple in Tang style, classic and elegant. The spring beside the Shrine falls in between the mountain walls, forming stunning waterfalls. The visitors can climb the steps of the cliff behind the Shrine to overlook the beautiful scenery of Liwu Stream valley from afar.

Formerly named Mystery Valley Trail, Shakadang Trail is built along mountain walls. On the way, you can see the clear and green river, magnificent rocks, and green woods. That’s why Shakadang Trail becomes a must-go for tourists.

Hidden beside Xincheng Town at the east is Xincheng Beach, a large beautiful beach filled with gravels and pebbles. Standing at both sides of the embankment, you can see Qingshui Cliff and Qixingtan as well as the blue Pacific Ocean. You would feel as if you were in a painting.

Sanzhan, or Pratan in Taroko contains Sanzhan South Stream as its main stream, out to sea after joining the North Stream near Sanzhan Village. Going up along Sanzhan South Stream, you will see beautiful scenery as great as that in Taroko Gorge. Therefore, it is also called “Little Taroki." The famous river trekking site Golden Grotto is also located in the Gorge, a popular river trekking route in Hualien. Besides, Sanzhan Stream is great for observation of geological and geographical formation and eco-systems of animals and plants.
