Window on China Theme Park has the tallest water flume ride in Asia. It is 12 stories high, and it is very exciting and scary. There are bicycles tracks and lake cruises.The reservoir has many different functions such as generating power, watering agricultural plants, preventing floods, offering drinking water and sightseeing. Shimen reservoir is also a good place to watch the maple leaves. In winter, people are able to see the golden maple leaves everywhere. The plum blossoms are always beautiful as well. Whenever the rainy season comes, the spectacular view of floodwater being released always attracts many visitors.

Long Lake (Longtan), or Long Lake (Longtan) Tourist Pond, is the most famous landmark in Long Lake (Longtan), Taoyuan. The pond was originally designed for irrigation. After the citizens built the majestic Nantian Palace on the small island of the pond, the view there became quite elegant. And with the complement of the Long Lake (Longtan) Tourist Suspension Bridge, the Long Lake (Longtan) Tourist Pond became a major recreation area for tourists. The most famous activity on the tourist pond is the annual dragon boat race. The Nantian Palace on the lake is a Taiwanese-style building. The richly ornamented building, with sculpted beams and glazed tiles, has an imposing exterior, and with the reflection of the building in the water, makes people feel as if they are in a poetic realm or a painting.The lakeside park and the arched Zhongyu Bridge of the Tourist Pond have their own characteristics. They are made even more beautiful thanks to the lighting during the night. This is also a favorite place for dating couples.

In the theme park are the Arabian Palace, American Western Streets, South Pacific Ocean and Wild Life Kingdom, where tourists can have a good time. Besides scheduled performances, there are also amusement facilities and food and drink services. People can experience thrilling and also exciting entertainments here. It is full of laughers.

Located in Longtan District, the Hakka Culture Museum in a unique style is established to preserve complete Hakka culture because most of the residents in the six townships in Southern District, Taoyuan City are Hakka. Built mainly in two major themes—Hakka music and Hakka literature, the Museum helps more visitors to seek for and be in memory of the root of Hakka culture and life through exhibitions.

Nan Tian Temple is a newly built temple in combination of Confucianism, Buddhism, and Daoism. The Management Committee of the Temple is working hard to add various facilities to go with the natural scenery. Besides the educational and recreational center for tourism, the Temple also does its best to promote charity in the hope to serve the general public by secularing te religion. The tourists to Longtan would never miss and will always remember the beautiful sunrise and sunset they see over the bridge.

Long Yuan Temple is the most important religious center in Longtan District. Although it is not the largest one, it is not difficult to understand its importance for locals from where it is located.Founded in 1825, Long Yuan Temple worshipped mainly Shennong in early period of time. Because most of the locals earn a living in agriculture, today the Temple worships mainly God of Crops.
